Commissioning Agent & Advisory
Vining Air has extensive experience in the Commissioning Agent and Advisory role. These include Green Star (GBCA), LEED (US based) and other specialist projects.
Our role is to advise, implement, review, monitor, verify, and track the commissioning and tuning process from initial design to practical completion. The process ensures the project meets and/or exceeds the design intent and client’s requirements and expectations.
Building Tuning
Typically, services such as HVAC cooling, heating, and air distribution fan systems as well as light & power and lifts are big ticket energy consumers.
If good building tuning results are to be achieved then strong BMS monitoring, energy metering and data gathering is essential.
Often the building’s energy usage is tracked and compared against the energy models which quickly establish problem areas that require further focus.
Vining Air has extensive experience with Building Tuning and Neil Vining is a NABERS Accredited Assessor.
Green Star & LEED
With continuing demand for increased energy efficiency, the role of building services has evolved over recent years and will continue to do so.
The Commissioning Agent’s role is to advise, monitor and verify the commissioning & sign off process of all nominated building services so they operate to their full potential and as designed.
The process includes developing comprehensive commissioning plans & procedures including ITP’s (Inspection Test Plans), ITC’s (Inspection Test Checklists), commissioning timelines, tracking progress, identifying issues and final sign off.
Vining Air has extensive experience with the Commissioning Agent role under GBCA (Green Building Council of Australia) and LEED (US based) rating tools.
Commissioning Advisory/Management
This requires being on board early and involved throughout the design, tender, construction, commissioning and building tuning phase.
It includes working with the project team in developing comprehensive commissioning plans & procedures including ITP’s (Inspection Test Plans), ITC’s (Inspection Test Checklists), commissioning timelines, tracking progress, identifying issues and final sign off.
